Festival is West Michigan!

For us, Festival brings it all together: Home-grown entertainment, culinary delights, visual arts, kids’ activities and much more. It’s everything we love about West Michigan, from the amazing talent on stage and behind the scenes, to the wonderful diversity and sense of community we find throughout the downtown area during Festival weekend.

We’re happy you’re here to visit the site now. Please check back over the next several months as we’ll be updating the site often. And be sure to reserve June 4, 5 and 6 for Festival 2010 in downtown Grand Rapids!

A little info on us: When we were asked to co-chair this incredible arts event, we were delighted to say “yes!” Our story is simple: We’ve each been volunteering at Festival for many years and we both love this event.

What’s especially incredible about Festival is we’re all volunteers – all 15,000 of us. And right now, we’re working hard to make sure Festival 2010 is the jam-packed community arts celebration you’ve come to expect!

Speaking of arts, you’re encouraged to participate in Festival! We’re always looking for new talent. Applications will soon be available for performers – so if you belong to a band, a dance troupe, or you’re doing a solo act, be sure to get your app in before the deadline. And if your nonprofit organization wants to run a food booth at Festival, applications will be available by the end of September.

As you can imagine, there’s always room for more volunteers at Festival, throughout the year and during Festival weekend. We’ll then connect you with the perfect Festival volunteer job, no matter what your experience level. Bring your whole family – you’ll find lots of company at Festival!
