Festival celebrates the arts nearly everywhere you look! See, create and buy imaginative art from artists of all ages.

Regional Arts Exhibit and Competition:

This is an open, juried, art competition that ANY local resident of any age can enter. Three professional jurors select pieces that will go in the exhibition from the works submitted and prizes are awarded. Don’t miss this opportunity to check out some of West Michigan’s most talented artists! You can see festival’s Regional Arts Competition at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts located at 2 Fulton St. W. GR, Mi 49503. Admission is free of charge during festival weekend. Youth Art Exhibit:

This is a non-juried art show for local school age children. Take a stroll over to the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) and see the amazing, artistic talent that is emerging from our K-12 artists. There are some incredible pieces of art in this exhibit! Admission to the GRAM is FREE during festival weekend!

Art Sales Tent:

These two large tents located on Calder Plaza are filled with beauti-ful one-of-a-kind items created by local artists. The best part….you can purchase these creations and take them home! There is something for everyone in the Art Sales Tent so go in and see what’s waiting for you!

Art on the Spot:

Watch local West Michigan artists create works of art while you wait! You can find these artists north of Calder Plaza on the Federal lawn and others can be found near Rosa Parks Circle and the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM).

Stop by Adult Paint in (FREE), Swing’n Art (FREE) or Printmaking to make your own one-of-a-kind masterpiece! Just walk over behind City Hall, get inspired and go for it!
