Festival 2016 is being held on June 3, 4, 5, 2016 in downtown Grand Rapids. Festival of the arts is always held the first full weekend in June.
We welcome Festival of the Arts participants who are residents of one of the following West Michigan counties: Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, or Ottawa.

Art take in will be on May 12, 13, and 14.

Not yet updated for festival 2016. Works of up-and-coming artists from area schools! A non-juried art show by local school-age children. Special thanks to GRAM for hosting the Festival Youth Art exhibit. Teachers may pick up art on Sunday from 3:30-4:30. The Museum closes at 5:00pm.

Great Lakes Commonwealth of Letters has teamed up with the Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts and On-the-Town Magazine to present the 2016 Festival Literary Awards in Short Fiction. Writers of all ages from the Festival Region (residents of Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, or Ottawa County) may each submit one story of up to 800 words between January 1 and March 31, 2016, to our online submission manager, using the button below. Entries will only be accepted via these means.
